§What if I don't know the password?
You must know the password to unlock a PDF. We cannot bypass password protection without the correct password.
§Does unlocking remove all restrictions?
Yes, once unlocked, the PDF will have no password protection, printing restrictions, or copying restrictions.
§Is the password sent to any server?
No. All decryption happens in your browser. The password never leaves your device.
§Can I unlock a PDF with an owner password only?
If the PDF has an owner password but no user password, it opens without a password. Enter the owner password to remove restrictions.
§What encryption types are supported?
We support standard PDF encryption (RC4 and AES) used by most PDF creation tools.
